Description

High-Alumina Self-Flow Castable

Material System & Positioning

High-alumina self-flow castable levels and densifies under its own weight without vibration. A high-efficiency water reducer maintains excellent flow (≥200mm) at low water content, filling forms and anchor gaps automatically. It is Henan Songrui's dedicated grade for dense-anchor, irregular and narrow zones where vibration is impossible, with service up to 1600℃.

Key Performance

  • Self-flow without vibration: gravity leveling, low noise, high installation efficiency.
  • Complex-structure adaptability: encapsulates anchors, fills irregular/narrow spaces, no dead zones.
  • Low water, high flow: efficient water reducer ensures flow with preserved strength.
  • Excellent integrity: ideal for boiler tube penetrations and around ladle porous plugs.
  • Reliable strength: CCS (110℃×24h) ≥55 MPa.

Applications

  • Power Boilers: tube penetration zones, economizer ducting, cyclones and standpipes, dense-anchor membrane walls.
  • Steel & Iron: underhearth areas of reheating furnaces, around ladle porous plugs, induction furnace linings.
  • Non-ferrous: copper anode furnace roofs, aluminum cell side patching.
  • Cement: preheater cyclone cones, kiln inlet chambers.

Selection Advice

Use self-flow for dense-anchor, irregular and narrow zones; vibration-cast conventional material is more economical for large standard linings. Verify flowability on site before pouring.

Installation & Maintenance

Control water strictly to keep strength while ensuring flow; rely on gravity leveling with light rodding if needed; cure and heat up per the dedicated curve. On-site guidance available.

Key Features

  • Self-flowing without vibration, leveling under its own weight
  • Ideal for dense rebar, complex shapes and confined spaces
  • Superplasticized system flows well at low water
  • Encapsulates anchors for a monolithic lining
  • Low-noise, high-efficiency for boiler wall penetrations
  • Requires tight water control and dedicated drying curve

Typical Applications

Self-flow high-alumina castable levels under its own weight without vibration, designed for complex structures:

  • Power Boilers: tube penetration zones, economizer ducting, cyclones and standpipes, dense-anchor membrane wall zones.
  • Steel & Iron: underhearth areas of reheating furnaces, around ladle porous plugs, induction furnace linings.
  • Non-ferrous: copper anode furnace roofs, aluminum cell side patching.
  • Cement: preheater cyclone cones, kiln inlet chambers.
  • Advantage: for dense anchor, irregular or narrow zones where vibration is impossible; low noise, excellent fill.

FAQs

Self-flow vs conventional castable?

Self-flow levels and densifies by gravity without vibration for dense-anchor, irregular and narrow zones; conventional needs vibration for large standard linings.

Where in boilers is self-flow castable used?

For tube penetrations, economizer ducts, cyclones and dense-anchor membrane walls where vibration is impractical.

How to ensure self-flow workability?

Verify flowability on site before pouring; control water strictly to keep strength while ensuring flow.

Temperature limit of self-flow castable?

About 1600℃, meeting boiler and reheating furnace requirements.
