High-alumina castables use sintered bauxite aggregate with 48%–75% Al₂O₃ and service temperatures of 1400–1650℃, the most widely used monolithic lining for medium-high temperature furnaces. Suited to reheating-furnace roofs and walls, annealing and soaking pits and cement-kiln transition zones; placeable by vibration or self-flow pumping.
