Castable installation and curing guidelines for long lining life

PROCESS

Standard Installation Process

Surface Prep

Clean scale and oil, weld anchors firmly and set expansion joints.

Mixing

Control water addition strictly, mix with forced mixer for 3-5 minutes.

Forming

Seal formwork, pour and vibrate to full density without over-vibration.

Curing

Keep moist for 24-48 hours to prevent early cracking.

Stripping & Check

Strip formwork, inspect and repair surface defects.

Heat-up

Follow the drying curve slowly to avoid steam explosion before commissioning.

NOTES

Add water sparingly; excess water seriously reduces strength and temperature rating.
Take insulation measures when site temperature is below 5℃.
Request heat-up curves from us; they differ by material.
Precast blocks need no site curing; follow drawings for lifting and laying.
