Problem Details
The bosh and lower shaft suffer gas scouring and alkali attack; gunned linings spall and shed, shortening mid-campaign repairs.
Solution
Spray low-cement corundum or SiC wear-resistant gunning materials in layers with controlled hydration; 100–150mm against staves, cured per staged heat-up curves.
